Nose Reshaping

Nose reshaping is usually carried out to reshape the nose or relieve the blockage in the nostrils. This procedure should be carried out only by a surgeon with relevant skills and experience in an establishment which is registered with the healthcare commission.

Nose reshaping involves a variety of procedures. The exact nature of the treatment will depend on the requirement. Based on the extension of the surgery, the operation may take place under a general or local anesthetic. It may last for two hours.

The two main techniques used in nose reshaping are open and closed. Open refers to the technique in which some or all of the cuts are made outside the nose. Closed refers to the technique where all the cuts are made inside the nose. In nose reshaping operation, all the soft tissues that are lying top of the nose are separated from the bone and cartilage that is under.
