Lip implant
Lip implants are done to make the lips look longer and fuller. But this procedure should be carried out only by a surgeon who has got relevant experience and skills. He should necessarily have gained experience from an establishment registered with the healthcare commission.
Lip implants involve several surgical procedures under local anaesthetic and the treatment will last only for 30 minutes. The procedure involves making four small cuts at each corner of the mouth of the patient. Consequently inserting the strip of the implant material into each lip and later cutting the implant to the size of the lip of the patient. Later these cuts are stitched. The result is permanent.
There are several risks in lip implants as it can cause infection or scarring. It can also be moved which requires the removal of the implant. But it is not very easy procedure. If you realize that your implant has split, you should immediately contact your doctor.
