Facelift surgery

The facelift surgery refers to a surgery where the excess skin is removed and the excessive fats and muscles are repositioned to reduce jowls. It lifts the cheek and reduces the lines between mouth and nose called nasolabial lines. It also smooths the jaw and neck line for a more youthful appearance.

Face lifts can be done to both men and women. But it is done only for those who are over their forty or fifty years of age. For those in their early thirtees and forties, mini facelifts can be done.

They are suitable for younger people as they require only minor corrections. But the facelifts cannot be used to correct the problems around the eyes or forehead. It also cannot be used address the lines on the lips or around the mouth. Sometimes extensive neck lifts are also used to address the problems of aging and sagging in the neck area.
