Koreans Take to Cosmetic Surgery
Looks can kill; according to a recent survey Koreans believe that looks will increase their prospects in the job market. The online survey conducted by career an online job portal has found that nearly 78% of the workers surveyed were of the view that good looks were very important in getting a job.
For the good looks the top three Cosmetic procedures are nose uplift, eyelid surgery and dental procedures. Actor and musician, Jang Dong-gun is one famous male that most wanted to be modeled like. Females chose actress and model Han Ga-in for the features they admired and wanted to possess. To obtain these features three out of four Koreans polled have considered cosmetic surgery that too all for the sake of succeeding in the job market.
Making a good first impression with employers is an important step in landing a job and Koreans are taking to Cosmetic surgery to help them out. Kim Kyond-eun, senior manager of the Head hunter Seoul Scout said that employers judge everything about the recruits. By closely examining the looks, the examiner judges the characteristics and lifestyles and this is where appearances and looks are important.
Job seekers are studying how they appear when looking for a job, as the interview takes up seventy five percent of the overall employment process at most firms. Generally a physically fit healthy person conveys the impression that they are able to manage their lifestyle well. Employers also like someone with a good looking image to represent their companies.
Human resources experts claim that appearances do influence their perspective but it is not always true. Media does play a huge role in type casting and the effect of the media cannot be discounted. Televisions show, models, actors and actresses with beautiful bodies exuberating confidence and this is what people try to ape. If it is not in personality at least in looks, is an option many Koreans choose, when opting for plastic surgery. This is because workers or job seekers do realize that an angelic and charming appearance will definitely help them secure jobs and stay competitive.
