However, fifty thousand dollars is the average price for a patient who has six or more cosmetic surgeries done to remove he aftereffects of gastric bypass surgery. Despite this high cost the number of body contouring cosmetic surgeries is expected to increase next year. Although, those considering undergoing this method of treatment should keep in mind that it is a major surgery and has associated risks. Another factor to keep in mind is that the process typically creates thick scars that can sometimes be several inches long, requiring additional plastic surgery if the patient wants to remove the scars completely.
