Laser Treatment
Compared to Sclerotherapy laser treatment is relatively new treatment for spider veins. In simple terms laser treatment is used to collapse the veins and increase blood circulation. Laser treatment involves sending strong lights in the veins, laser are more accurate and effective if performed by a trained practitioner. The area affected is the only place that receives the treatment and rest of the areas is unaffected.

The most appealing factor for the popularity of laser treatment is that it does not involve injections and there is no needle insertion that attracts many people.

There are simple therapies to treat small occurrence of spider veins, these therapies can be termed as conservative ways of treating spider veins. Some of the options and tips to avoid spider veins are:
  • Avoid Sun, Use Sun Block if you are going out.
  • Include High Fiber Diet
  • If you sit for long hours, try to walk after every 40mins or so
  • Avoid Birth Pills
  • Don’t give pressure on legs (sitting with legs crossed)
  • Take vitamin supplements
  • Wear stockings and avoid tight fitting clothes
  • Try to elevate your legs while sleeping, as it improves blood circulation.
The treatments available for varicose and spider veins veins are well researched and have 100% success. Once treated the chances of it to return is rare but as a precaution it is very important to go for regular checkup and follow the mentioned preventive measures.
