Mesotherapy Procedure

If you are going to undergo mesotherapy, this is what you can expect. Your doctor will talk to you about what you are wishing to accomplish with the procedure. Then a medication will be designed
To help with the anti aging and body contouring goals you have discussed. This will be injected into the area to be treated. The fat in the area will be destroyed, and will stay this way as long as new fat is not gained.

Side Effects of Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy side effects are much lower than those associated with other types of fat reducing surgeries. The area that was treated will often bruise temporarily, but this fades with the fat within a week. The bruising is the only common side effect. The procedure can be a little uncomfortable, but this can be minimized with numbing cream.

There are many benefits of mesotherapy. First, one of the most sought after mesotherapy results is the reduction of fat cells in certain areas of the body. The medication kills excessive fat cells in the targeted areas of the body. As the cells die, the body flushes them out in the natural waste cycle. This is particularly helpful in spot treatments, such as reducing a double chin, or targeting areas the person just cannot seem to loose fat on.

Mesotherapy also works to reduce cellulite. The medication dissolves the fat and causes the connective tissues that cause the dimpling affect to start reconnecting. This causes the skin to become smoother and more contoured.

Finally, mesotherapy can help the skin to be rejuvenated and look younger. The treatment causes the cells to become more metabolically active, which produced collagen and rejuvenates the skin.

Criticisms Against the Procedure

Some American doctors are critical of the procedure because there is little to no scientific study saying that the procedure is safe. They say that there are potentially dangerous side effects that may not have been discovered. The procedure is not controlled by the FDA, making it dangerous in the minds of some doctors, since there is no way to know what the doctors are using on their patients.

That being said, many patients who have suffered for years with their weight, are deciding that the cost for mesotherapy is worth it for the fat loss results without the risks of liposuction and other types of surgeries. The reason for the rise in popularity is that the mesotherapy costs and risks are so much lower, and the results are promising!
