Bad Celebrity Cosmetic Plastic Surgery
Examples of this addictive syndrome are all too evident among celebrities
where illustrations of bad plastic surgery are everywhere. Singer
Michael Jackson stands at the pinnacle of this addictive spectrum.
Jackson’s features bear no resemblance to his early publicity
photos taken when he performed with his
brothers as part of the Jackson
Five.
The extent of his awful plastic surgery transgressions has risen
to such heights that it is now generally speculated that he suffers
from body dysmorphic disorder, a psychological condition characterized
by unreasonable preoccupation with one’s appearance and an
overall feeling of self-loathing.

Singer and rock legend Cher has undergone a fairly dramatic transformation
from her fresh-faced and exotic appearance in the 1960s. Her pointed
chin, overly sculpted cheeks, pinched nose, and exaggeratedly slanted
eyes have taken her into the “over the top” category
of stars that have “had a little work done.”
Former handsome hunks like actor Burt Reynolds and singer Eddie
Fisher have gone to such lengths to preserve their legendary looks
that frankly, they no longer appear human. Reynolds has that “pulled
too tight” appearance to his features made worse by an apparent
fondness for tanning and Fisher is so painfully artificial and plastic
it is difficult to even look at the man.
The current fad in cosmetic procedures in the Hollywood community
is the practice of injecting collagen to produce a supposedly sexy
pout to a woman’s lips. Consequently there is now a whole
crop of young starlets with grossly inflated and unnaturally large
lips. Certainly Christina Aguilera, Pamela Anderson, and Jessica
Simpson fall into this category.
Simply becoming addicted to the procedures themselves may be one
of the greatest plastic surgery dangers. For many this fact is making
less invasive and less dramatic options all the more attractive.
If you are seeking to enhance your features and to reverse the effects
of aging but also want to safeguard your health and well-being,
the potential dangers of plastic surgery should be a major selling
point in opting for one of these more conservative alternatives.
